We first of all believe that God loves us and Christ died for us.

  • John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life
  • Rom 8:31-32 If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all - how will he not also, along with him graciously give us all things?
  • Rom 8:38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We believe God's greatest commands are to love him and lover others.

  • Matt 22:37-39 Love the Lord  your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all  your mind. This the the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.
  • I John 3:16-18 This is how we know that love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
  • Eph 2:10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
  • I John 4:19-21 We love because he first loved us. If anyone says "I love God", yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen cannot love God. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.
  • John 13:34-35 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

We believe that we show our appreciation to God for what He has done through Christ by sharing with and serving others.

  • Matthew 25:35-36 Jesus instructions are to: feed those who are hungry, give water to the thirsty, invite strangers in, clothe those who need clothes, look after the sick and visit those in prison.
  • Mark 16:15-16 Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
  • Matt 28:18-20 All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
